Lotus Lulu the Penguin Geisha at Oceanfest ‘08

Yesterday, on the ocean front in the beautiful sun I set up my first ever solo merchandising tent (well, by “I” I mean Sean set it up..hahaha ) After some mental debate about the cost of purchasing a tent, then the problem finding one this late in the summer, and creating a display came to a close I was all ready to sell my wares to the live public. I had a lotof positive feedback on my lovely hair accessories. Oceanfest Tent Display I was not expecting so many little girls to be drawn to my creations, but it was very endearing to see them. I enjoyed watching mothers and daughters and fathers and daughters put on head bands and look in the mirror together. I loved seeing allt he smiles that my head bands brought out in people. I was particularly touched by the older women who not only complimented my vision and ability, but took my card so that they might contact me during the holiday season for gift ideas for their grand daughters.

I debuted my new orchid and rose hair pins with great feedback and success. I think that wearing a flower in your hair is a timeless fashion and have spent a lot of time sourcing faux flowers that are convincing and beautiful. So much so, that I had more than one person ask me how I preserved my orchids! The head band hero of the day were my butterfly bands. Bright feminine colour was on the minds of buyers yesterday as many of my butterfly bands found new homes on the heads of lovely ladies of all ages. I look forward to seeing them about town!

A deep heartfelt thank-you from me to all those who came by yesterday, to all those who are reading this now and to all of you visiting my Etsy shop. it gives me great joy to put beautiful things in your hands.
